Rep. Chip Roy (TX-21) issued the following statement Tuesday after voting against H.R. 6617:

Today, the House of Representatives passed yet another bill that funds enforcement of Biden's tyrannical COVID-19 vaccine mandates -- this time through March 11. I voted no.

I for one could not look in the eye of any one of our medical workers, military personnel, Border Patrol or other federal law enforcement and workers -- whose health, liberties, and livelihoods are being taken away by these mandates -- and justify a"yes" vote.

Now, the American people - looking ahead to November elections - can ask two questions:

1) Which Senate Republicans will stand in defense of freedom alongside the workers they call heroes, and which will rubber stamp tyranny?; and

2) If Senate Republicans fold, will they -- and all House Republicans -- this time choose to stand up and fight for these heroes before March 11th?
